Mei Yuangui (Deng Chao) is a professional "Breakup Guru" who has been in 76 relationships and gone through 77 breakups. He understands the weaknesses of relationships, the problems with commitment and is specially equipped to handle a variety of breakup situations including those of lovers, married couples and domestic couples. 

One day, after deciding to shut down his business, he receives a special request from a client who wishes to break up with a woman names Ye Xiaochun (Yang Mi). And so the "Breakup Guru" and Xiaochun stage a show that can only be described as "the most affable but also most touching romantic comedy in history".
