China Lion Film Distribution Inc. was founded by its current President Jiang Yanming in October of 2010, having celebrated over three years of bringing Chinese-language films to North America. China Lion Film is headquartered in Los Angeles with international offices in Toronto, Sydney and Beijing and has theatrically released a number of major films from top Asia-Pacific producers.
The company recently released Chinese mega-director Feng Xiaogang’s film Personal Tailor and the Chen Sicheng Mainland blockbuster Beijing Love Story. Its films are available to view on DVD and via a number of popular and innovative streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu and SnagFilms. In November of 2012 it released Back to 1942, China's official Foreign Language submission in 2013 for Academy Award consideration. China Lion Film prides itself on supporting Chinese films and Chinese filmmakers.
